Greg began playing rock & roll in the mid-60's (while in high school). His very first 'garage band' ..."The Undecided Revised Edition of Uncle Sam and his Turtle People" performed at school dances and anywhere else they were permitted!!  In '68 Greg began his first "real working band", Pandora's Box. They played school dances and the SURF CLUB in Rehoboth Beach, DE.  Then came Phazes...also teen dances, armories, VFWs, etc.  In '71 he became front man (lead singer) for the awesome 8 piece 'horn band' COLOUR ! They played various clubs and colleges in the tri-state area.   Some of the personnel of that group are now the Funsters.
Then came ROAD FEVER (also playing the tri-state clubs) and then a very interesting and fun, but shortlived group.......KILGORE TROUT....... which evolved into a band called ONE WAY EXPRESS.  This was like '75-76.......did a lot of cool soul music.......unfortunately forced into a lot of disco, because that was the thing in the clubs at the time!!  But it was a fun group and they were doing 4-5 nights a week (no day job!).  Started playing with GENE COOK'S BAND which turned into DELAWARE POWER&ROCK.
ECLIPSE (appropriately named) was another very shortlived band, but began a friendship and partnership as an acoustic duo with Tad Jones.  They still perform together (off and on, here and there) to this day!
Worked for one summer with Sundance (southern rock), playing mostly Ocean City.  Then took a three year break from bands all together.  Wanted to spend more time and attention to the wife and kids. Then he returned to his roots, forming an "award winning" country rock band, Double Take, with  two of the original Pandora's Box members.....Terry Porter and Terry McCready.  This group played all of the area's Moose lodges and did country radio promotions in the surrounding states.  They opened for a few named performers such as Eddie Rabbit, Moe Bandy, Grandpa Jones, Gene Watson, and Mickey Gilley. (Some shows at the famous country spot "Sunset Park"). I know it was a dive, but all of the country stars played there.......even Jerry Garcia and Dave Grissom did some picking there!!!!
Next came the metamorphosis of Double Take into an R&B rock band with Allen Townsend coming in on drums and Jim Evans on bass.  Then one more trip back to southern rock with a group called Southwind.  Then had a "band" experience  with Blind Willie members.....Allen Townsend and Carl Peters .......in a gospel rock group ...The 11th Hour Band!
Since that time Greg has been performing solo acoustic gigs or with Tad Jones as Tad & Greg and/or with Tad, Deloy, and Mike (sometimes Brian, Scott, and Dennis) as Fraidknot or Tangled Roots.
In 2001, Greg produced a CD of original tunes at Tad's Root Cellar Studio in Dover, DE.
He also sang background vocals on many of the songs on Deloy Moore's CD.." IN HARMONY".
