Frank Frederick

Bass, Vocals

Frank officially became Blind Willie’s bassist in October of 2008, and his first gig was Mickey’s on November 7.  However, his history with the band actually goes back much farther.  Frank, Allen, and Carl formed Straight Shooter way back in 2001.  When Frank left to join the Mari Rhodes Band, Rob came on board and the name was changed to Blind Willie.

Frank is originally from the Baltimore area and has worked with bands such as Orange Sunshine, The Reggie Wayne Morris Blues Band, Perchance, Fate, and the Zehn Archer Band.  Frank spend 15 years on the road, paying his musical dues and, during that time, sat in with some heavy hitters in the country genre such as Lori Morgan and Reba McEntire’s road show.

In recent years, Frank has located to the Eastern Shore and has held the bottom down for Route 1, the Salivators, Mari Rhodes, Straight Shooter, and Over the Edge, among others.

Frank’s influences include Chris Squire of Yes, John Entwistle, Jack Bruce, Jaco Pastorius, and Jack Daniels. He plays a wicked Fender Jazz through the eight thundering tens in his big Ampeg SVT cab which is powered by a Gallien-Kruger top.  It goes to 11.
